FAIRFIELD - Nearly five years after the town purchased a 7-acre parcel known as Parkview Commons -- to save it from over-development, provide affordable housing and add acreage to Veterans Park -- two lots on Reef Road have gone unsold. Town officials have tried to find buyers but have been unsuccessful.
On Tuesday night, the Representative Town Meeting, by a 22--21 tally, voted to allow the two lots to be sold as affordable homeownership units.
